Semen Analysis

While most of the attention related to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility is directed toward women, approximately 50% of all cases of infertility are due to abnormalities in sperm production or function. Male infertility can be related to a couple of causes: healthy sperm may not be produced; sperm may not be able to travel through the reproductive system; the sperm count may be low, or the sperm may not function properly. For men, a semen analysis is the first test recommended. This may be easily done with our specialty IVF lab, with or without a referring physician’s order.

From the lab website, you can make an appointment for the analysis to be collected onsite or by using an at-home kit that is returned to the clinic at the scheduled time.

After the analysis, men can expect to receive a call from one of our providers within 2-3 business days with results and any further instructions.
